01 Jul Novum Networks Unified Communicator End Date And New Service Announcement
As we have mentioned previously, we are rolling out an update for the UCx application and a part of this rollout will require us to perform a system-level change that will transfer the messaging components from Novum’s servers to the WebEx servers. This change will affect all new users or users that are upgraded to the UCx service.

What is changing?
From the 3rd of July, all new Unified Communications services will now need to use the UCx Basic or Premium services. We also ran webinars on this service and if you would like a refresher, please contact us to organise a time and date.
Additionally, the UCx Basic and Premium services will be added to partners product catalogues on the 3rd of July and the Unified Communicator products such as Business Line + UC bolt-on, Premium UC will be removed.
Unified Communicator will be end dated, however, users on the Unified Communicator app can stay active.
Why is it changing?
The recent upgrade and changes allow users to commence migration to the WebEx apps (Teams and Meetings) backends. This is a strategic move by Cisco and Novum Networks and over time, the WebEx apps will be able to utilise the underlying call switching from Novum Networks to make and receive calls within WebEx Teams – the UCx service is the first step in the process.

2. Transfer from Unified Communicator services to UCx services
